Why “Seeking Narnia”?

Why the Narnia theme?  We see the themes in C.S. Lewis’ “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” as great examples of our travels in this life.  These include: Christ, logic and faith, courage, forgiveness, and dangers of gluttony.

  • Christ died and was resurrected for us – Aslyn, the son of the Emperor beyond the sea comes to save Narnia from the White Witch. Aslan and Christ sacrifice themselves and approach death filled with heavy sadness, knowing the pain and suffering they were about to endure.  We are followers of Jesus Christ.
  • Logic and Faith – Acceptance of the logical conclusion that Narnia exists requires faith. We have faith and ask for more to help us be His image bearing despite our  sinfulness.
  • Courage – both Peter and Edmund show courage in killing the grey wolf and breaking the White Witches’ wand. We ask for courage to take this new voyage and be bold in our sharing of the Good News of Jesus.
  • Forgiveness – Aslan makes the supreme act of forgiveness and self-sacrifice, accepting death at the hand of the White Witch in place of Edmund. We ask for the ability to love our enemies and forgive all those who have sinned against us to be beacons of God’s love for us all.
  • Danger of Gluttony – Edmund’s descent into the Witch’s service begins during his frantic consumption of the magic Turkish Delight. We ask for strength and endurance in fighting temptations and desire of worldly things.

We named our trailer “Lucy” in honor of the youngest of the four Pevensie children.  She was most faithful of all the children.

In our travels, we ask that Christ empower us to be effective messengers of His truth and to love all we meet.

Jim and Frances

our new journey

We are a Christian couple that have worked hard for a lot of years.  Realizing that we not spent enough together, we decided to dip our toes into the waters of recreational vehicles  to  grow in and share our faith, our love, and to see God’s beautiful creation with our own eyes.
Prior to 2021, we have never camped or RV’d together.  Join us in our journey as we learn and laugh together.
